It’s not my ideal shop, that’s for sure, but it’s what I have at the moment.
I’m building an anchor chain counter that will chirp every 10 meters as the chain comes in or goes out. Today was the day to try to get the chainwheel sensor hardware designed and working. Success! Next step, more software. I’ll post the results when it’s done. -Rich
Anchor Counter Update, 25 April 2020: It’s in. It works! We haven’t tried it in a real-world anchoring situation yet but I think it’ll be great. Here’s the unit, with its 3D printed case, before installation in the anchor locker.
