April 22, 2014 (Easter in the U.S.)
Warning: this post for mature audiences only!
“What do you do out there all day?”
Try this: Search Google for “movies like Mega Shark Vs. Crocosaurus” (without the quotes) and come back to us when you’ve watched them all.
(I have no idea what this has to do with cruising but it’s just too good not to pass along.)
Update:
First, we watched Dinocroc versus Supergator. Wow! Do you agree that sometimes a movie can be so bad, it’s good? (Note: There was wine involved in our most enjoyable viewing.)
Then for Easter, we watched Night of the Lepus (an attack of giant rabbits – seemed appropriate for Easter!).
We are in the process of painting the cove stripe on the side of the boat. I’m so glad we saw this movie because now we know the name of the paint color we used – “Killer Rabbit Red.” It came out brighter than expected – kind of like the red below…
Update: April 24, 2014… The cove stripe is finished – see for yourselves! (The cove stripe is the red stripe on the sides of the boat just below deck level.)
“Why did you paint the cove stripe?” For some reason, the red gelcoat was evaporating from this area, leaving bare fiberglass. We needed to paint it to protect the fiberglass. I’ve never heard of anything like this happening. I guess the tropical sun, combined with New Zealand’s ozone hole, was just too much for it. I’m just glad the white gelcoat is still looking good.
What do you know? This post did turn out to be about cruising!
