Of course we took a ride on the Kawakawa train! The ride isn’t long because the refurbished section of track ends at an old bridge, then the train has to turn around and come back. They’re working on lengthening it, but they depend on donations and the progress is slow. For now, it’s a lovely ride on an authentic steam engine train through the countryside.
