We had a great treat. We were invited to our friend Cabil’s house for Diwali. Diwali is the Hindu celebration of the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.” That’s from Wikipedia here.
During Diwali feasts, houses are decorated with lights and kids set off lots and lots of fireworks. We’d contributed to Cabil’s fireworks stash so that us “big kids” could relive that childhood joy. Here are some pictures from our wonderful night. Click to enlarge and scroll through the images.
